Fila announces parade next season in Milan
Streetwear continues its striding toward prêt-à-porter. Now it is the turn of the Fila brand to announce that it will be parading in Milan’s fashion week in September.
The brand, which became pop in the 1990s used by Tupac Shakur and LL Cool J, hired as creative directors the designers Antonino Ingrasciotta and Joseph Graesel, both former Adidas. The duo will return to Fila’s archives and connect past and future to their first parade. In addition to the show, the brand will also make an exhibition at the Triennalle di Milano.
“I am excited to lead FILA to a new chapter in its history. Change is an element in the DNA of the brand. After many successful partnerships, we felt it was now a natural way to take part in Milan fashion week with a parade along with an exhibition that tells the rich heritage of the brand to deliver a complete storytelling, “says Gene Yoo, Global Chairman of FILA.
