After the serious incidents that occurred in the protest against the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Vice President Cristina Kirchner showed the damage caused by the stones in her office and lamented that she felt “again… immense sorrow.”

The head of the Senate told through a video published on social networks that at the time of the attack she was there with her son and leader of La Cámpora, Máximo Kirchner; and national senator Anabel Fernández Sagasti and Oscar Parrilli.

With images of the damage left by the attacks in her office, the former president indicated that “a small group of protesters began an intense stone attack against Congress” in the midst of the mobilization. “The images you’re seeing now are from my office after the stones,” she explained.

“Paradoxically, it was my office that they attacked. The office of the person who stood up to the Vulture Funds, who kept the International Monetary Fund (IMF) out of the country, fulfilling the legacy of my colleague, Néstor Kirchner, and who also built with his decision the Front of All, which allowed Mauricio Macri to be defeated. Paradoxically, or intentionally…”, he added.

And she continued: “I have always been and will be a political activist. I have seen, since the recovery of democracy, in 1983, scenes of violence always linked to that body and above all to the policies that it imposed on the different governments. Today as never I remembered Néstor’s words regarding the International Monetary Fund when he said `it has always acted as a promoter and vehicle of policies that caused poverty and pain in the Argentine people.’ Again… immense sorrow.”

What do you think?
