A couple died this morning on Express 52, en route from San Juan to Caguas, while they were speeding, police allege.
According to the preliminary report that the authorities are working on, the couple was identified as Reynaldo Izquierdo and Betzaida Del Valle. The Police shuffles the theory that they were driving at excessive speed and were even “haggling” with another vehicle, or the same as competing with another car.
“It is understood that they came haggling. We are verifying some video shots to be able to verify if in essence, they were haggling,” said the director of San Juan Transit, José Pérez before the Telenoticias cameras.

The couple, who were driving a Mclaren vehicle, hit a Ford Ranger bus that was driven by Luis Colón de Jesús, a resident of the town of Juncos. As a result of the impact, the marriage collided with a concrete structure and later the vehicle caught fire.
