China’s third aircraft carrier Fujian – without old-fashioned launch pads

The jets are propelled into the air by electromagnetic catapults. China’s rearmament is viewed with concern in the region.

The recent commissioning ceremony for China’s newest and most technologically advanced aircraft carrier recently took place. The ship, which will be known as the “Fujian,” was launched in Shanghai, according to Xinhua, the state-run news agency, which reported the event on Friday.

It is generally agreed upon that the “Fujian” is the People’s Republic of China’s most cutting-edge aircraft carrier that is presently in operation.

This particular ship, in contrast to the other two, does not have a conventional launch pad. Instead, it makes use of electromagnetic catapults to send the airplanes into the air when they are released from the ship. She is substantially larger than the boats that came before her because her higher displacement of 80,000 tonnes makes her far more capable of carrying cargo.

Disagreement over the islands and the ocean areas that surround them.

Concern has been voiced all around the region and beyond in regard to the rapid expansion of China’s military capabilities. The country that has the most people in the world is embroiled in a territorial dispute with the nations that are located around it. At issue are islands and reefs, in addition to huge oceanic areas that offer substantial fishing grounds, mineral riches, and shipping routes.

In addition to this, China is making strides to expand its military footprint.
The United States Navy and the Chinese Navy have been involved in a significant number of armed skirmishes throughout the years.

The Liaoning, China’s very first aircraft carrier, was formally handed over to the Chinese government in the year 2012. This vessel, which had its beginnings in Ukraine, was purchased in the United States and then underwent refurbishment there.

The “Shandong,” which it had self-built and was the first carrier in the world to have done so, followed by the end of 2019. The name of a unique province from China is emblazoned on the hull of each of the three ships.
