Aid Brazil is paid this Monday to 1.8 million with final NIS 2

The June installment of Auxílio Brasil is paid this Monday (20th) to 1.8 million beneficiaries who have NIS (Social Registration Number) ending in 2. Payments continue until the 30th, according to the calendar (see below) established by the Ministry of Citizenship, the body responsible for managing the program, which this month includes 18.1 million people. The same dates apply to the payment of the R$ 53 gas allowance.

Days for payment of Auxílio Brasil and gas allowance in June:
NIS 1 – 06/17
NIS 2 – 06/20
NIS 3 – 06/21
NIS 4 – 06/22
NIS 5 – 06/23
NIS 6 – 06/24
NIS 7 – 06/27
NIS 8 – 06/28
NIS 9 – 06/29
NIS 0 – 06/30

This month, another 50 thousand people were included in the social program, which guarantees a minimum transfer of R$ 400 to each beneficiary. The average amount received by families is R$ 402, since, in addition to the basic payment, there are additional incomes, according to the profile of each family group, such as the Scholar Sports Scholarship, the Scientific Initiation Scholarship, and the Rural Productive Inclusion.

The government’s investment in June exceeds R$ 7.6 billion. Citizens can consult the information about their benefit, such as the payment date, the amount receivable, and the composition of the installments in the Auxílio Brasil app, developed specifically for the social program, or Caixa Tem, which also allows the monitoring of bank accounts.

Auxílio Brasil is currently the largest income transfer program in the country, aimed at people in situations of economic and social vulnerability. Families that are in the CadÚnico (Cadastro Único) and do not have divergent information in other federal government databases are entitled to it. You also need to meet the eligibility criteria.

The main criterion is the monthly income calculated per person in the family, the sum of how much each member earns per month, divided by the number of people who live in the household. If the monthly income per person is up to R$ 105, it is considered a situation of extreme poverty, and entry into the program can happen even if the family does not have children or adolescents.

If the income is between R$ 105.01 and R$ 210 (a situation of poverty), entry into the program only occurs if the family has, in its composition, pregnant women, children, or adolescents. The selection is made automatically, based on CadÚnico data, considering the poverty estimate, the number of families served in each municipality, and the annual budget limit of Auxílio Brasil, through Sibec (Citizen Benefit System).

Gas Allowance

5.68 million families who receive a minimum of R$400 from Auxílio Brasil are entitled to this benefit. Paid every two months, the value of the gas allowance corresponds to 50% of the average national price of a 13-kilogram cylinder, according to the price calculated by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) in the last six months. In June, R$ 53 will be paid, according to the regular schedule of Auxílio Brasil. This Monday (20), welcomes those who have NIS with final 2.

The gas aid budget for 2022 is R$1.9 billion. To be part of the program, it is necessary to be included in CadÚnico, have a per capita income less than or equal to half the minimum wage, and have at least one family member who receives the BPC (Continued Provision Benefit). The woman responsible for the family has priority, as well as women who are victims of domestic violence.
