There were plans to include the soldiers of I.M.A. in Ant Man and the Wasp scaled
In addition to introducing many of the favorite ideas of Marvel Comics fans, the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp almost also included certain classic comic book villains. A new conceptual design by the cartoonist and illustrator Ian Joyner reveals an epic action scene with the protagonist heroes fighting against foot soldiers of the terrorist organization Ideas Mecánicas Avanzadas, or I.M.A. As you can see, the soldiers would have had a look similar to their counterparts in the comics, but with a slightly more contemporary version of their costumes. Of course, Joyner makes it clear that the idea never came to make room in the script.
Presentation of a scene / idea not used for Ant-Man and the Wasp. Once the Man Returns from the Quantum Kingdom I thought that a funny thing would be fun to throw his new friend tardigrade against the bad guys in the Pokémon style. I also tried to use the classic soldiers of I.M.A. as something that could work in the UCM (none of this was in the script, it was just a fun brainstorm). The fantastic Andy Park was our leader in this adventure. To see many more unused concepts, final ideas and much more, look at the book of Ant-Man and the Wasp. Recall that, in reality, this would not have been the debut of I.M.A. in the UCM, since we already saw them in Iron Man 3 under the command of Aldrich Killiam.
