Spider-Man Movies Like You’ve Never Seen Them Before: Artists Imagine Them Visceral, Gory, and Fatal

The Marvel Cinematic Universe, due to the wide audience to which it is directed, has never opted for a film that is distinguished by being violent. While we wait for Deadpool 3, which is supposed to keep its RA rating, a group of special effects artists has been tasked with reimagining some iconic scenes from the Spider-Man movies; but with a lot of blood and deadly consequences for its protagonists. The result is as terrifying as it is shocking.

Corridor Digital, a studio located in Los Angeles recognized for its many viral videos, is responsible for this creation. Although it was originally published in December 2021 to take advantage of the anticipation for Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was not until last weekend that the sequences went viral thanks to Twitter. Some fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe saw them for the first time and were possibly scarred for life.

Remember the scene where Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man stops the train to save the passengers from Doctor Octopus’s atrocities? Well, imagine that the applied force would have caused a dismemberment of his arms and a subsequent fall to his death —and with the trains falling on him afterward.

If that’s not enough for you, they recreated the fall that killed Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 . However, Andrew Garfield’s arachnid misses its web launch and Gwen’s body shatters on the ground. The same thing happens shortly after with the superhero. It’s also surprising when Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is ripped apart by helicopter blades.

They are very strong scenes if we compare them with the original sequences. A good part of the impact that this video is generating is due to the tremendous quality of the special effects. Without a doubt, it is the most “gore” version of Spider-Man that we have seen, one that we will hardly be able to see in the Marvel Studios feature films.

In the new sorcerer movie, the producer certainly surprised with a sequence that raises the level of violence above what is customary in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, if the director of Marvel Studios keeps his word, the antihero will return with the same dose of violence that catapulted him to fame on the big screen.
