WandaVision , Marvel’s first series for Disney Plus, reached its denouement on March 5. After eight episodes, fans saw how Wanda, played by Elizabeth Olsen, became the Scarlet Witch and couldn’t be more excited about the character’s future on the small screen or film franchise.
To the joy of his followers, the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, had already advanced that the end of the production is connected to Doctor Strange 2. In addition, he explained to Rotten Tomatoes TV that the film with Benedict Cumberbatch “will cover the multiverse and the madness in him very directly ”.
During a virtual panel at Paley Fest, the CEO decided to reveal that the Scarlet Witch would have more adventures outside of the Cumberbatch movie. “”Yes to an evolution of the story, probably and inevitably in very different ways,”” he replied to an attendee who asked how the character’s story will continue.
After these statements, Feige reminded fans of the Marvel universe that they should first wait for the movie Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. “”That will be the first place where that story will continue, but there will be others,”” he said.
Elizabeth Olsen on the Marvel multiverse
In an interview with Variety, Elizabeth Olsen stated that she did not know the full picture that the MCU had planned for its fourth phase. Unlike before, the actress now understands the ramifications the show will have and her connection to Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness .
“I didn’t know about the multiverse when we were filming (WandaVision). So he didn’t take for granted that this was what was happening. I thought it was just a smart way to have a Pietro. I did not understand the larger plan of the multiverse until I started working on Multiverse, the sequel to Doctor Strange, “”said the actress.
