Maite Perroni denies that she caused the breakdown of the marriage of another actress

The Mexican singer and actress Maite Perroni has decided to leave in the hands of her lawyers the controversy that has arisen for a few days in her native country that relates it to the marriage breakdown of another famous couple.

In several news media in Mexico, the news has circulated that the actress Claudia Martín had separated from her husband, Andrés Tovar , and that the main cause was that she had been unfaithful with another person. The same information indicated that this “other person” was Perroni, who supposedly maintains a friendship of several years with the producer.

In fact, Perroni herself, a former RBD, was also rumored to have broken her seven-year love affair with musician Koko Stambuk.

According to information published by People en Español magazine, although Martín has not said Perroni’s name directly as the cause of their separation, he has hinted in several interviews about the singer’s involvement in the whole affair.

Because of this, Perroni decided to initiate defamation lawsuits against his colleague and other parties involved , according to “People en Español.” “We are taking formal legal actions, through attorney Guillermo Pous , against Claudia Martin for defaming and spreading false information that undermines the image, reputation, prestige, honor, integrity and privacy of Maite Perroni”, explains a letter sent to the magazine .

On the other hand, Mr. Pous appeared on the Mexican television program “De primera mano”, where he explained the next steps he will take in favor of his client. “ The actions are administrative and civil due to the attack on the image, reputation, prestige and honorability of Maite Perroni derived from the falsehood in the statements she made, giving her a qualification as ‘the third in discord ‘; which is absolutely false and derogatory to the person and profession of Maite ”, argued Pous. “They are different [legal] actions; on the one hand, to the media or the media that comment and reply in the same way, pointing to Maite with this qualifier and, on the other hand, to Mrs. Martin or Martín for having done it, in addition, to various media and the reporter ”, added. “[The sanctions for Claudia Martín would be] a fine, having to publicly apologize, deny all the accusations made and financial compensation for the attack on Maite’s image ”.

According to the lawyer, with this action Perroni seeks to make it clear that she is not involved in the separation of Martín and Tovar, in addition to trying to clean up her reputation.
