3 Reasons Why Morning Sex Is Better Than Coffee

Most of us need a cup of coffee or tea to start the day with energy and prepare our minds for all the tasks we have to do in the next few hours. However, a study published in the journal PNAS found that the Weekend effect, that phenomenon associated with the improvement of our mood from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon, has to do with the Freedom to choose our activities (especially having time for sex) and the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones. The weekend offers crucial opportunities to spend time with others, explore our interests and relax.

In the study, the best time to have sex was Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Or Saturday at 10.30 a.m. Meanwhile, the worst times to have sex would be Monday at 8:15 p.m., or Friday at 5 p.m. That is, the worst times seemed to be before and after work during the week.

And why is morning sex better than coffee?

Pleasant activities such as eating or having  morning sex offer more than pleasure. Another study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences concluded that these activities could reduce stress by inhibiting anxiety responses in the brain and improving our mood. During sex and other activities, we experience a release of oxytocin that has many positive effects on our body.
