UK prepares extradition order against Kevin Spacey

A few days ago it was announced that the actor Kevin Spacey would return to the big screen to star in the film “1242-Gateway to the West”, after being retired from show business in 2017, the date on which he was accused and sued on multiple occasions for alleged sexual abuse.
This news would mean Spacey’s triumphant return to movie theaters, however, his case has taken a new turn. On May 26, new charges were added to the interpreter’s record, this time for crimes he would have committed in England, where three men claimed to have been sexually assaulted by the actor in 2005, 2008, and 2013, respectively.

Now, according to what was published by the newspaper “The Guardian”, the British government is already preparing a formal request to ask the United States for Spacey’s extradition. Said order would be sent to the US authorities if the protagonist of the series “House of cards” refuses to travel voluntarily to the United Kingdom where he will be tried and sentenced if found guilty.

Rosemary Ainslie, head of the Special Crimes Division of the London Police, pointed out that the authorities in her country are interested in Kevin Spacey receiving a fair trial for which, even though the accusations have already proceeded legally, they continue to be reviewed and compared with the evidence they have managed to collect.

It should be noted that the three new charges would have occurred while Spacey was in charge of one of the most important theaters in the European nation, the “Old Vic” (from 2004 to 2015) and that the institution has just released a statement apologizing since they received more than twenty complaints of improper behavior by the actor.
