Doctor Strange returns to the big screen with the Multiverse of Madness. The one that was postulated as one of the most anticipated premieres of 2022 is already here, and starting on Friday, May 6, you will be able to enjoy the new adventure of the well-known Marvel character in theaters. Sam Raimi has been in charge of getting behind the cameras to direct a cast headed, again, by Benedict Cumberbatch.
The Spanish billboard also receives this week Red Rocket, the dramatic comedy by Sean Baker that competed for the Palme d’Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
The wait is over and Doctor Strange is back. Six years have passed since the Marvel character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko made the leap to the cinema, at the hands of Scott Derrickson, and with Benedict Cumberbatch as the protagonist. The actor returns to get, once again, in the skin of Dr. Stephen Strange, alter ego of the popular hero of the House of Ideas. However, in this second part, the person in charge of sitting in the director’s chair was Sam Raimi. In addition, along with Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen and Chiwetel Ejiofor complete the main cast of the film.
The plot of this second part begins after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home when the wizard casts a spell to help Peter Parker. He asks him to wipe the memory of all citizens after his identity as Spider-Man has been revealed by the evil Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home. But something goes wrong as a result of a murder committed in the Loki series, causing the opening of the multiverse. Now, the task of Doctor Strange will be to try to restore stability to each world, with the help of the Scarlet Witch and America Chavez.
