Shakira and Piqué announce their separation after 12 years together

The couple asked for respect for their children amid rumors that indicate infidelity.

After 12 years of love, Shakira and Piqué announced their separation . Although they did not reveal the reason behind their decision, those who have their birthdays on the same day – although 10 years apart – have asked for respect for their family.

“We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our top priority , we ask that you respect their privacy. 

Thank you for your understanding”, they expressed in a statement replicated by EFE .
