Rihanna stuns at the Super Bowl in a red attire.

Whoever was anticipating the frequent costume changes that have been a tradition at previous Super Bowls was likely let down. But despite this, Rihanna impressed the crowd during her halftime act by wearing a crimson attire that was specially crafted for her by the premium brands Loewe and Alaa.

There have been subsequent claims that the celebrity is expecting her second child, which may explain why she chose to keep things simple. It may also explain why she selected for a pair of comfortable shoes in a similar shade of red.

Rihanna stuns at the Super Bowl in a red attire.

The Barbadian singer kicked off her 13-minute halftime concert on a hanging stage while wearing a cotton canvas flying suit and sang “B**** Better Have My Money.” The costume was unzipped nearly all the way, exposing a similar silk jersey catsuit and sculpted leather corset (and, of course, a baby bump, as later confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter by her representative, who CNN has reached out to for comment).

Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of the Spanish label Loewe, is responsible for the design of all three of these one-of-a-kind clothes. Her outfit, which the fashion house said was inspired by flight gear and was “designed to build volume in step with the dynamic scenography of the show,” was described as having been “designed to build volume in step with the dynamic scenography of the show.” The fashion house made its debut of a red breastplate that looked very similar as part of its Spring 2022 ready-to-wear collection.

Rihanna finished off the look with a pair of red shoes that were created as part of a partnership between Maison Margiela and the athletic shoe company Salomon. She topped off her look with a leather puffer scarf by Alaa, the label that was created by the late Tunisian couturier Azzedine Alaa. The scarf came with integrated gloves.

Soon after, the 34-year-old singer threw away the scarf and began performing a medley of her classics, which included “Rude Boy” and “Umbrella.” However, she returned for the finale dressed in yet another Alaa creation titled “Diamonds.” Pieter Mulier, the creative director of the firm, came up with this particular piece, which was a red leather maxi puffer coat that also had integrated gloves. (During the press conference for the halftime performance on Thursday, Rihanna also chose to wear an aviator jacket by Alaa, a brand that only a few days ago established a store in New York City after being absent from the city’s retail landscape for more than three decades.)

This was Rihanna’s first live performance for the general public in the last six years. As a result of the fact that the celebrity has spent a significant portion of the intervening period expanding her lingerie and cosmetics empire, fashion observers have theorised that she would wear products from her Savage X Fenty collection. This, however, was left up to her army of back-up dancers, whose white hooded coats unzipped to show different products from the underwear company.

The company owned by the fashion entrepreneur made the most of the opportunity and instantly reminded followers on social media that the dancers’ mesh tank tops, sports bras, and boxers are all available for purchase.

Anderson referred to the performance as a “unforgettable moment” in a press release that was made by Loewe, the parent business of which also holds a controlling investment in the Fenty Beauty brand that Rihanna founded.

According to a comment attributed to him, he described working with Rihanna to bring her stage appearances to reality as “feeling like a crazy and amazing dream.”
