Her ex-boyfriend gave the then 18-year-old the pills that are supposed to treat anxiety disorders for the first time: “I think I wanted to suit him,” Noah explained in a Rolling Stone interview – her addiction went so far that she slept all day. It hit rock bottom in 2020, the ‘Make Me’ singer revealed – during an interview at the time, Noah fainted: “I dozed off […] and wasn’t able to keep my head up […] ] because I was so far away” .

The death of her grandmother in August 2020 opened Noah‘s eyes: “I sat there alone and I was scared and I realized that I was pushing away from me all the people I love and need.”Noah Cyrus didn’t go into detail about how she recovered from the pill addiction at the time, she only explained: “I took help from everyone I needed and it took a while for me to get back on my feet. “
