Loki: multiverse unleashed in the MCU is emerging in a big way

The Marvel Cinematic Universe began its fourth phase with Black Widow and three series for Disney Plus: WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki . To the fans’ surprise, the last one mentioned was responsible for unleashing the multiverse.

Now that there are multiple versions of the universe, the future of the franchise is open to endless possibilities that would help introduce new characters and settings. “It’s the next step in the evolution of the MCU,” said Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige .

During the D23 Inside Disney podcast, the CEO announced that he had a meeting with the studio leaders to talk about this phenomenon and how it has been received by fans.

“The multiverse is emerging in a big way. There is interconnectivity there that people have already begun to see and suspect. I had a meeting this morning with the entire Marvel Studios team analyzing the multiverse, its rules and exactly how to meet the excitement surrounding the premise, “he said.
