
The rapper and designer has been accused of failing to return 13 very rare and valuable pieces from the personal archive of stylist and fashion collector David Casavant after renting 49 garments in March 2020.
The owner of the clothing collection maintains that Kanye returned the first 36 without any problem, but at the end of October 2020, he stopped paying weekly instalments for the remaining ones.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Cassavant – who began working with the musician in 2014 – is now demanding $221,000 in back rental fees and an additional $195,000 to replace all the material he has not recovered.
