Just like dad! Louis of Cambridge Recreates a Look Prince William Wore 37 Years Ago

In the final parade of the Platinum Jubilee, the son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has worn garments very similar to those worn by his father as a child

That Kate Middleton is a fashion expert -in addition to one of the most elegant royals- is something that we see in each of her appearances, the last one today. To witness the cavalcade that closed the agenda of events for the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the commemoration of her seven decades at the head of the British Royal House, the Duchess of Cambridge has chosen the tone of guest that best suits the brown women like herHowever, she has not been the only protagonist in terms of style as her children have also made her headlines. While Charlotte, seven years old, confirmed that the firm of Spanish origin Amaia Kids is still the favorite in Palacio(He has worn a white coat from that house), the youngest of the family, Louis, only four years old, has become the star by recreating a look that his father, Prince William, wore 37 years ago.

A white blouse with blue trim and shorts in the second of those colors, the clothes that Louis has worn today, could seem like two pieces chosen at random… unless we take a second to review the family album of Prince Charles, Diana of Wales and her two children, when they were children. Traveling back to April 1985, we find the necessary reference to affirm that the clothes Louis wears are not very casual and much father-inspired. And it is that, when he was barely two years and ten months old, Prince Guillermó wore a practically identical look on an official visit to Venice.

This is shown by the historical snapshots belonging to that trip, in which we can see the current Duke of Cambridge with a white and blue shirt (although with pleats, in his case) and pants of the same tone that his little son has worn today. This wink comes just two days after Louis will wear the sailor suit that his father wore, also in 1985, and shows that, when choosing their little one’s clothes for big events, the Dukes (like many other parents royals ) always opt for a classic style and never for trendy designs. With this, they seek that, in the future, the images seem as current as possible. A rule that, judging by the photos taken in the 80s, was also followed by another fashion specialist, Diana of Wales.
