“I’m the only one not coming back”: Kristen Dunst confirms she won’t be in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”

Actress Kristen Dunst was tasked with categorically denying her involvement in the third Spider-man movie, the reason: salary disparity.

After the trailers and promotional images showing the presence of The Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Electro, and Sandman, it seems that the first year of Phase 4 of Marvel seeks to end in a big way with the third movie of “Spider -Man”, for the return of great characters and rumors about the multiverse.

After several Marvel films, such as “The Black Widow”, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “Eternals”, finished in praise, the third installment of the arachnid is about to end.

Likewise, after the presentation of the trailers, where the presence of Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus is confirmed, or the return of the Green Goblin, the fans of Spider-Man elucidate regarding the return of the Spiderman of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, so the mood for this third film is through the roof.

While it is true that Alfred Molina is the only confirmed actor for the return of the trilogy, that has not stopped the rumors of various actors returning, such as Kristen Dunst and his possible return as Mary Jane Watson.

However, in statements to Total Film for the new issue of the magazine “Scream”, the actress categorically rejects that she will return to play her role, the reason: the wage gap.

That is, in the Sam Raimi trilogy, which the actress made about Spider-Man, Kristen Dunst, who played Mary Jane, mentioned for The Independent that there was a salary disparity between her and Tobey Maguire for “Spider-Man 2”.

The disparity in pay between me and Spider-Man was extreme. I had never thought of that because it said: Sure, Tobey Maguire is playing Spider-Man; but do you know who is in the foreground of the poster? Spider-Man and I ”, says the actress.

I’m not in that movie… I know there are rumors, right?, says the actress.

Following this, Total Film notes that Molina returned, including Willem Dafoe who apparently returned, but the actress made her point.

No, I am the only one who does not return, she assures.

Dunst also reveals that none of the new Spider-Man movies have been seen.

“I haven’t seen any of them; however, I don’t watch superhero movies. I don’t see any of that. It’s just not my kind of movie,” Dunst points out.

He also ensures that the last time he saw a superhero movie was “Captain America” with a friend of his in a theater.
