House of the Dragon: a new preview for its next premiere

Fans of “Game of Thrones“ are eagerly awaiting the premiere of “House of the Dragon“, the prequel that works as a continuation of the most successful series on HBO Max.

In the midst of waiting for its premiere, which will take place on August 21 on the streaming platform, the signal released the official image of this new installment that will have ten episodes. 

Based on the book “Fire and Blood” by George RR Martin, the series set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones”, tells the story of the House of Targaryens. The main cast includes Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans.

What will House of the Dragon be about?

“House of the Dragon” will focus on the story of the reign of Viserys I after inheriting a peaceful kingdom from his grandfather Jaehaerys I. The actors that make up the main cast of the series have already been presented by HBO along with a brief description of their characters:

-Emma D’Arcy will be Princess  Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king’s eldest daughter, she is pure Valyrian blood and a dragon rider.

-Matt Smith will be Prince  Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother of King Viserys and heir to the throne. A peerless warrior and dragon rider.

Steve Toussaint will play Lord Corlys Velaryon, a Valyrian bloodline as old as House Targaryen. He is the most famous nautical adventurer in the history of Westeros.
