Earl Boen Aka Dr Peter Silberman Of ‘The Terminator’ Movies Passes Away At 81

In the fall of 2022, an actor named Boen was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, according to a friend and family member who spoke to Variety.

Earl Boen, a Hollywood legend best known for his role as Dr. Peter Silberman in the “Terminator” films, died on Thursday at the age of 81 in Hawaii.

It was reported by a friend and family member of Boen’s that the actor was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in the fall of 2022.

In all three Terminator films, Boen played Dr. Silberman, the criminal psychologist hired to interrogate Michael Biehn’s Kyle Reese in the original film. The 2019 film “Terminator: Dark Fate” included him in flashback scenes.

Born on August 8, 1941, Boen spent his entire life in the entertainment industry.

Films like “9 to 5” and “Living in Peril” and “Sioux City” “Marked for Death” “My Stepmother Is an Alien” and “Alien Nation” and “Touch and Go” and “The Main Event” and “Battle Beyond the Stars” and “To Be or Not to Be” and “Movers & Shakers” and “Stewardess School” and “Walk Like a Man” are also in his film.

 

According to Variety, Boen played Reverend Lloyd Meechum on the 1980s sitcom “Mama’s Family.” From “Seinfeld” to “The Golden Girls” to “The Wonder Years” to “The Streets of San Francisco” to “Wonder Woman” to “Police Woman” to “Barnaby Jones” to “The Dukes of Hazzard,” “Soap,” “King’s Crossing,” and “Three’s Company,” he was a frequent guest star.

He has been in a wide variety of TV movies, including “The Taming of the Shrew,” “Getting Physical,” “Antony and Cleopatra,” “Annihilator,” and “Opposites Attract.”

Among his most well-known voice acting parts are those of Mr. Bleakman in “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” Seor Senior Sr. in “Kim Possible,” the Narrator in “World of Warcraft,” and Captain LeChuck in the “Monkey Island” video game series.

His wife Cathy, daughter Ruby, and grandchildren Kimmy Abaricia and Kimo Harbin survived him.
