Dora and the lost city, the plot of the film based on the cartoon

In the story of Dora and the Lost City, we meet Dora (Moner), an enterprising girl who as a child explored the jungle in the company of her adventurous parents (Eva Longoria and Michael Peña). The impact with high school, however, challenges her more than the pitfalls in the jungle, but her peers will learn to love her when she sets off in search of her missing parents, accompanied by her monkey friend Boots, her cousin Diego (Wahlberg) and a forest dweller ( Eugenio Derbez). Is there a link between the disappearance of mom and dad and an ancient lost city of the Incas?

Dora the Explorer, the Nickelodeon cartoon on which Dora and the Lost City is based, is now considered a classic in childhood entertainment. Created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner, it first aired in the United States in 2000 (after a 1999 pilot), although it was not seen in Italy until 2005. The series ended in 2019, the year of release of the film, however, after eight seasons and a total of 178 22-minute episodes. An endless amount of material, naturally supported by merchandising and two spin-offs, Vai Diego in 2005 (starring Dora’s cousin) and Dora & Friends in Città (2014-2017).
