Only daughter of Ronald Rodrigo, therapist, and Sophia, a school teacher. She is of Filipino descent from her father and German-Irish from her mother. Her great-grandfather immigrated to the United States from the Philippines as a teenager.

She began taking acting and singing classes by performing in theatre productions at Lisa J. Mails Elementary School and Dorothy McElhinney Middle School. She moved from Murrieta to Los Angeles when she landed a role on the series Bizaardvark attending Dorothy McElhinney Middle School.
