Bret Michaels of Poison celebrates his daughter Jorja’s high school graduation

Jorja Michaels, Bret Michaels’ daughter, has graduated from high school! The Poison frontman marked the 17-year-achievement old’s with a photo of her smiling in a blue cap and gown on Thursday.

“Jorja, I’m so proud of you on your graduation,” he wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. “You rocked with a never-ending loving spirit.

 

“I know you’re looking forward to the next leg of this incredible journey,” Michaels, 59, added. “Let’s go!!!” Jorja posted the same photo to her Instagram account on Wednesday.

“I got out of my four-year sentence today,” she joked. Poison’s frontman described the 17-year-old as having a “unbroken loving spirit.”

Jorja and her father took a celebratory selfie after finishing her final day of school on Tuesday. “A huge congratulations to my youngest daughter,” Michaels, the father of Raine, 22, captioned the photo.

“Time for a new chapter,” Jorja said. On social media, the singer frequently gushes about his and Kristi Lynn Gibson’s daughters, calling them “incredible daughters” this week.

 

Jorja called Michaels a “rock star” and her “hero” when he spoke to People in 2010 about the ups and downs of fatherhood. “We sing together,” her older sister observed. It’s fantastic. He’s really just a big kid.”

Michaels’ relationship with their 52-year-old mother was a “work in progress” at the time. The musician, however, stated that Jorja and Raine’s “mom and dad [would] never be replaced.”

Wally Sychack, the songwriter’s father, died in August 2019 at the age of 85 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Michaels was hospitalised three years later for a “unexpected health complication,” but he assured fans that he was “working on being back to 100 percent.”

The singer is currently performing on The 80s Cruise.
