Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva, the first part of the Brahmāstra franchise, is one of the most awaited films in Bollywood. The film is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and belongs to the fantasy adventure category.
For the audience eager to see Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together on the big screen, the makers of their film ‘Brahmastra’ on the occasion of Guru Purnima released a great video on the concept and premise of Astras and Brahmastra. It can be understood that the makers have shared the concept of their upcoming film through this video.
The trailer of the film was released last month. While one section commented that the quality of the VFX in the trailer of the big screen film was not good enough, another section of the audience reacted on social media saying that it was an attempt that Indian cinema has never seen before. Now the director has come out explaining the concept of the film. In a video titled Brahmastra The Vision, Ayan Mukerji talks about the co ideas of the film and the structure of this franchise.
In this four-minute video, Ayan Mukerji tries to explain to the audience the concept and history behind the weapons asandhe foundation of the universe in Indian mythology. ‘Brahmastra: Part One begins with the story of the sages who got the light (Brahma Shakti) of the universe from Brahma Shakti, from which the Astras were born. The weapons include all the various energies found in nature such as earth, air, fire, and water, as well as the powers of animals such as monkeys and bulls.
Astroverse is a film franchise that recreates the concepts of various astras associated with Indian mythology. Those traverses are Vanarastra, Nandi Astra, Prabhastra, Jalastra, Pavanastra, and Brahmastra. The first part of this is Brahmastra Part 1 – Shiva. The franchise began with a group of yogis meditating in a Himalayan valley. The various arrows are given to the world as gifts from the gods who are pleased with the meditation of the yogis. These arrows are above the five planets. Brahmastra is the most powerful of these. Brahman is the community of guardians of these arrows. It is also a secret society that works for the good of society. Ayan Mukherjee explains that the franchise says this Brahmanj still exists in a changing world. He also says that the hero played by Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra Part 1 Shivaay is an Astra by itself. The film will hit theaters on September 9.
