CHIHUAHUA.- Activist and influencer Arturo Islas Allende drank water with manure to show members of the Rarámuri community that water filters are good.
Through a video posted on his Instagram account, the host of the first season of “Survivor México” published a video of the experiment he did in front of a family from the Sierra Tarahumara .
Believe it or not, I’m going to drink water from here. I am in the Sierra Tarahumara where the Rrámuris have to drink from this water and have to take water from these streams. These communities have been well affected by the lack of water ”, explained the activist while collecting water from the stream with a bucket.
“Before what they did was take water directly from there [the stream] and take it to their homes to consume it,” he added.
After the explanation, Arturo Islas stirred the water in the stream with manure and then opened the water filter attached to the bucket and drank it.
“It is already coming out, look at how the water is coming out that comes directly from manure, from stagnant water, from fly larvae,” he emphasized.
After filling a glass with clean water, the influencer took it and pointed out the importance of raising awareness for the vital liquid.
