Actress Rose Leslie explains how her husband Kit Harington copes with alcoholism

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie married in June 2018 after beginning an affair on the set of Game of Thrones . The couple has had to face complicated moments, from rumors of infidelity to the actor’s admission to a rehabilitation center to treat his alcohol addiction in 2019.

Rose Leslie spoke of these situations and how her husband has struggled to heal: “It’s important for Kit to recognize himself as an addict. The Alcoholics Anonymous community has provided him with a caring space where he feels heard, so that he can be sure that he is not alone. If it hadn’t been for rehab, he would be in a very different place right now,” the actress explained.

Leslie also assured that Kit is fine. “I’ve learned a lot about this subject and it’s something that Kit will always be on the lookout for, but it’s her decision to go back to drinking. No one could stop him if he decides to do something. The responsibility for his behavior is yours. I’m not the one who has to protect him.”
