Human bones were found on a Cancun beach, while two other people were killed in Playa del Carmen, in Quintana Roo.
On the Gaviota Azul public beach, located at kilometer 9 of the Cancun hotel zone, a dorsal spine, a pelvis and a femur were found.
The bones were discovered by some tourists who were walking in the area and who reported them to the hotel staff where they were staying.
Police from Quintana Roo arrived at the scene, as well as experts from the Forensic Medical Service ( Semefo ), who confirmed that it was human remains. The authorities picked up the bones and took them away.
It is presumed that the bodies would have arrived with the waves, but there is no confirmation from the authorities. The discovery occurs at a time when a tourist from Uruguay is being sought, who disappeared a little over a week ago.
On the other hand, two people were killed, dismembered, and abandoned three black garbage bags in the El Pedregal neighborhood in Playa del Carmen.
A pedestrian was walking along North 52nd Street, between 70th and 75th Avenues, and observed the bags on a sheet. Looking out, he noticed that they were human remains.
The witness called the authorities and members of the municipal police cordoned off the area, awaiting the experts from the State Attorney General’s Office.
At first it was thought that it was a corpse, but, when inspecting the bags, the experts confirmed that there were two. Elements of the Ministerial Police also arrived in the area to initiate investigations into the case.
