Pastor in the United States threatens parishioners with expulsion from his church if they wear masks

Tennessee.- Pastor Greg Locke , threatened his congregation at his Nashville- based Global Vision Bible Church that they would not be allowed to attend the service if they showed up with a mask , for which he demanded that his entire congregation be left without a mask or will be expelled.

Locke assured his congregation during his Sunday sermon on July 25, that he was not playing “these Democratic games in this church, if you start showing up (with) all these masks and all this nonsense, I will ask you to leave,” he warned. The Shepherd

It should be remembered that the pastor was already in the news in April 2020, when he mocked social distancing measures to recreate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ with his 16-year-old son acting in the role of Jesus and his 17-year-old daughter posing as Mary.

Also, last July, The Charlotte Observer reported that Locke said he would be willing to “go to jail” before temporarily closing his church to comply with pandemic guidelines.

Locke is also known for preaching that COVID-19 is a fake pandemic and that vaccines are a scam, according to CNN.

The pastor has vowed to keep the church open despite the government’s charges, and criticized pastors he accused of not baptizing people due to COVID-19, Insaider reported.

Locke was referring to additional measures local lawmakers are considering to protect communities amid rising COVID-19 numbers .

Mask mandates in Tennessee , where the church is located, were lifted in May, however lawmakers asked Governor Bill Lee on July 14 to review the state’s COVID-19 strategy.

These proposals include renewed mask regulations and intensified contact tracing efforts, particularly after the state reported a surge of 771 COVID-19 cases within 24 hours.
