WhatsApp Web and the trick to activate Facebook reactions in chats

Do you want reactions to your friends’ messages with the classic ‘amuses me’ or ‘makes me angry’ on Facebook? Here we explain how you can do it on WhatsApp Web

WhatsApp continues to be one of the applications that millions of people use to communicate with their friends or family. Therefore, this platform also has a web version that we can use from our computer through a browser or its desktop app.

However, the majority of WhatsApp Web users are unaware that the platform has tools that allow our conversations with our friends and family to be more fun. One of the functions that have gained a lot of popularity is the Facebook reactions that we can use in our chats.

As you read, it is possible to use Facebook reactions on WhatsApp Web. All you need to do is follow a couple of steps and make use of a completely secure Google extension that allows the trick to work.

How to activate Facebook reactions?

Although WhatsApp has already announced that it is working on a native tool that allows using the classics – it amuses me, I like it, I love it, I care, it amazes me, it saddens me and it angry; this feature is still in development and has no release date yet.

Therefore, to be able to use these reactions in our WhatsApp Web conversations, we still have to resort to a Google Chrome extension. We just have to follow these instructions:

  • Enter Google Chrome from your browser
  • Enter Google Chrome from your browser.
  • Then go to another tab to WhatsApp Web from Google Chrome.
  • When the page loads, go to your extensions and you will see a plus (+) icon circled.
  • Pressing it will open a menu and there you will have to find and select Enable Facebook reactions.
  • Enter any chat and hover over any message to start using Facebook reactions.
