TikTok continues to expand stories to more users

After a long time, stories have finally arrived on TikTok and now more and more users can use the new feature on the platform. The ephemeral publications were what the video social network lacked, and after being in the testing phase, the update has begun to expand globally.

Like other social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp or Snapchat, the Chinese platform has adopted the 24-hour publication format.

Although the feature is not news to anyone, the simple fact that it came to TikTok changes things a lot. The Asian platform has become one of the favourite social networks in the world and this is due to its originality, but now with the ephemeral publications, the situation could change completely.

TikTok Stories

Although these stories that join TikTok have a duration of 24 hours like other social networks, the function will not be exactly the same as how it works on platforms such as Instagram, for example.

The stories are characterized by being displayed in a different place than the feed since the publications are totally separate. On Instagram or WhatsApp, the stories are in a specific section, but on TikTok, it will not be like that.

The stories that are published on the vertical video platform will appear in the feed, with a similar format to the feed posts, but with the difference that they will disappear after 24 hours.

Another thing is that the stories cannot be shared or saved outside the platform as is usually done with the videos in the feed.
