The Nokia 7 Plus is the flagship phone for everyone that dazzled us

After obtaining permission to use the Nokia brand, the Finnish company HMD designed five new cell phones, in order to conquer the hearts of the mobile phone market.

Of the five phones, the Nokia 8 is the most luxurious, but our eyes also settled on the Nokia 7 Plus, a mid-range phone that Nokia has dubbed “the flagship phone for everyone.” And judging by what we saw when we could prove it, it could be that Nokia is absolutely right.

The design of the phone reminds us a bit of the Pixel 2 XL, with rounded edges, and small bevels up and down. When you flip it, you will see that it is a traditional Nokia. It has a dual lens system in the camera, a fingerprint sensor and a Nokia logo that has a copper tone.

The buttons for volume and the power button is on the right side and on the bottom, you can see a USB port type C to charge it. Unlike the Nokia 8 Sirocco, the Nokia 7 comes with a port for 3.5 mm hearing aids. On the top of the phone.

The Nokia 7 is beautiful and feels very good in the hands. The 6-inch screen makes it feel great, but the ceramic coating makes it feel like it will not slip off your hands. With 2,160 x 1,080 pixels resolution and 18: 9 aspect ratio, the IPS screen looks colorful, relatively bright and accurate. We must still try the screen a bit more, but in general, it satisfied us during the brief time that we had in our hands.

Good performance
Most Nokia phones come with Android One. It means that the phone does not come with unnecessary applications (only with those of Google) and the software experience is Android 8.0 Oreo and you can have quick access to security updates and new versions.

The speed of the cell phone between the menus and different applications was fast and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, together with the 4GB of RAM, is sufficient for the standard user’s use.

There is 64GB internal storage as well as a MicroSD card in case you need more capacity. But without a doubt, the best promise of the Nokia 7 is that it promises to provide enough battery for two days. The company is confident enough that it is a feature of the phone, but we could not confirm it. The capacity of the same is 3,800 mAh since the rest of specifications do not require much energy.

The camera comes with Zeiss optics and works well. We did not see that there was a shutter lag when pressing the shutter button and the results look good.

The dual rear camera comes with a dual lens system, one with 12 megapixels and another with 13 megapixels and both have 2X optical zoom, as well as with “bothies”, a system that allows you to take a photo or video with the front camera and back at the same time.

The front camera has 16 megapixels and more resolution than those in the back. HMD says it’s great for taking selfies in low light. We could not prove this theory completely in the place where we were.

Availability and price
The Nokia 7 Plus will cost 400 euros (equivalent to $ 492 dollars) and will be available in April. It is not yet known if it will reach the United States or not, but it is a good price considering the characteristics.
