Tesla will start production of humanoid robots [video]

The plot of the game Detroit: Become Human seems more and more real. The head of the American company Tesla Elon Musk during the online presentation of Tesla AI Day announced that already in 2022 a prototype of the humanoid Tesla Bot will be created.

Musk said that soon people will be able to choose for themselves whether to do physical work or not. After all, robots will help them. Tesla Bot will run on FSDC (Full Self-Driving Computer) processor, Dojo and using neural networks. This will allow him to recognize the world, learn and understand how to navigate.

“I think that in the future, physical work will become unnecessary – you can do this or that work if you want yourself,” Musk said.

The robot is 173 centimeters high and weighs 57 kilograms. Instead of a face, he will have a screen with useful information. The speed of movement of the mechanical humanodide is 8 km / h.

The presentation was not without humor. At the beginning of the announcement, a man dressed as a prototype of a robot entered the stage and performed a dance to a song from the mini-series Love, Death & Robots (Everywhere – Lil Nate Dogg).

On the Tesla website said that it is a versatile bipedal humanoid robot capable of performing unsafe, repetitive or boring tasks. And also that the company is looking for mechanical, electrical, control and software engineers to help leverage Tesla’s AI expertise outside of their fleet.
