OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition: this is what this special version that glows in the dark looks like

Straight into nostalgia. The product of a partnership with Bandai Namco OnePlus announced the launch of the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition, an exclusive version of the mid-range phone that it introduced in July this year and which is inspired by the classic arcade game from the 80s.

Without a doubt, the most striking feature of the phone is its design. On the back, it features a silver-tone glass cover that includes the Pac-Man logo and a dot pattern that hints at what the character must eat during games.

However, the aesthetic work does not end there. When the lights are turned off, the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition reveals a glow-in-the-dark cover that highlights a maze-like finish that highlights the company’s logo.

On the front, the phone incorporates a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It also has a Type-C port (USB 2.0), a dual stereo speaker system, an on-screen fingerprint sensor, and Bluetooth 5.2 connection.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition comes equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, which is accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, and a 4,500 mAh battery that supports fast charging 65 W.

As an operating system, the phone runs OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11. Being a special edition, the interface has been personalized with different iconic elements of the game, such as themed wallpapers, an original loading animation, 8-bit style icons, and more.

At the photographic level, the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition has a 32-megapixel front camera and a triple rear camera composed of a 50-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor.

Price and availability

The new OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition will go on sale on November 16 in selected countries in Europe and Asia for a price of 529 euros. As a gift, the device will include a Pac-Man board with Lego pieces and a themed case with the main character along with the ghosts Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde.
