This tool is available in the web version of Gmail
Even though Gmail is one of the world’s most popular email services, most users ignore many of its features. In this regard, one, in particular, is useful when you have or have limited access to an unsteady Internet network.
This is the offline mode, which allows “reading, answering and searching Gmail messages” without connection to the internet. Do you want to know how to get there? We’re telling you all the details here.
To enjoy offline mode, you need to access Google Chrome Gmail. Note too that the feature works only when a conventional web browser window is used and not when one is opened in incognito mode.
The following are the steps to enable the function:
Access your Windows or Mac computer with Gmail
Connect to your email account
Press the nozzle icon in the top right corner to access the settings
Tap the See all button settings
Select from the top bar the offline option
Select the box to allow offline mail
Choose how many days of messages you wish to sync, activate attachment download, select your security parameters and more
Press Save Changes to save.
From that point on, your inbox emails will be stored on your device’s local storage, allowing you to retrieve them at any time even without the Internet.
Whenever you respond to messages in offline mode, they are saved in the Outbox folder and are automatically sent when your computer connects to the internet.
