Android: the trick to identify from your cell phone if someone is connected to your Wi-Fi network

If you have a smartphone, follow these steps to quickly and easily recognize who is connected to your home internet.

Thousands of Peruvians across the country have finished their vacations, reactivating their work and studies virtually again. Considering this, the Internet connection, in addition to the equipment used for our activities, must be as efficient as possible.

Sometimes, you feel at home that the Wi-Fi network is quite slow, and this can be due to different factors, among them, the accumulation of devices connected at the same time, which limits the digital service that we have. Meanwhile, there are those who take advantage of the fact that a network is free (without a password) to connect without permission and interfere with the good state of our signal.

Therefore, in order to recognize if someone is “stealing” your internet, or simply verify who is connected to it, we bring you this quick and easy trick so that you can apply it just using an Android device.

Simple guide to know from your cell phone if someone is connected to your Wi-Fi

  • Grab your smartphone and enter the Play Store, Google’s virtual store for smartphones.
  • There, download the Fing app, which is represented by an icon with circles and an arrow following a sequence to the right.
  • With the app, you can connect to your Wi-Fi network and access the entire list of networks in your home.
  • Once linked, a button called “Connected devices” will appear.
  • You must press it to see the equipment that is connected to your internet.
  • You will be able to notice all the cell phones, televisions, computers, etc., that are connected at that moment.
  • Finally, if you see any unknown, you can delete it.
  • And you will now have already verified who is connected to your Wi-Fi network to be able to measure your signal and the devices on it.
