Vitali Klitschko does not rule out that the Russian army will again storm the capital of Ukraine. Wladimir Klitschko clarified that the Ukrainians will not be able to defend the country with their bare fists and noted the importance of the economic isolation of Russia.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko published a joint interview with his brother on the American television channel ABC. Vitali Klitschko does not rule out that Russian troops will again attempt to capture Kyiv. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

“The fact that the enemy has retreated does not mean that he has given up his desire to capture the capital. Therefore, a subsequent attempt by the orcs to “take Kyiv in two days” cannot be ruled out,” the capital’s mayor said, warning that the city should prepare for defense.

“We expect that Russian troops can return and attack Kyiv, as they planned at the beginning. Our army gave them a fight, but the retreat does not mean the end of the war. They only change their strategy: they focus on the east and south of Ukraine,” Vladimir Klitschko explained. “They’re very active and while we’re talking here, there’s fighting going on in the east.”

When asked what peace could bring to Ukraine, Wladimir Klitschko replied that weapons are the first thing that is needed.

“Firstly, we need weapons, we cannot defend our country with our bare fists. Secondly, the economic isolation of Russia,” Vladimir Klitschko explained. “Any trade that you conduct with Russia, literally every trade operation, every cent is directed to the murder of Ukrainians.

According to the former professional boxer, if the Russians are not stopped here in Ukraine, they will move on.

“If we lose, the entire Western, free world will lose,” Klitschko said. “That is why sanctions are needed. We don’t need any other army, we will defend our country, we only need weapons. Continue to support us.”
