Mia Khalifa has separated from her husband, Robert Sandberg, after 2 years of marriage. The influencer, sportscaster and former adult film star got engaged to the Swedish chef in March 2019 before getting married in the kitchen of their first home on June 10 of the same year.

The couple has reportedly split over unsolvable differences.

Khalifa announced the breakup on social media, saying they broke up after going through nearly a year of therapy but were unable to make their marriage work.

She said, “We can confidently say that we gave everything to make our marriage work, but after almost a year of therapy and efforts, we walk away knowing that we have a friend in each other and that we really tried.’

“We will always love and respect each other because we know that not an isolated incident caused our separation, but the culmination of fundamental, unsolvable differences for which no one can blame the other.

“We are closing this chapter without regrets and beginning our own, separately but connected through incredible family, friends, and our love for our dogs.

“This was long overdue, but we’re glad we took our time and given our all, and we can walk away saying we did everything we could.”
