Who is Le Pen?

Marine le pen is a French politician and former lawyer. She is now a presidential Candidate in France belonging to the National front Party.  This is the 2^nd time she is running to be the president and on May 7^th she is going to be competing against Emmanuel Macron, who is from En Marchel.

She is a highly controversial figure as she is more relaxed and a highly flexible person in matters that are considered delicate in France, such as same-sex partnerships and abortion.

She is the youngest of her sisters and the daughter of former politician Jean -Marie Le pen. She completed her law studies from Pantheon Assas University and has been a bar council member working as a criminal lawyer and a public defender for 6 years before she joined hands with the National Front party being their legal advisor.

Political Views

She has been criticized in her ways of inciting hate by giving critical views on Muslims, World war II and sensitive issues like that. When she first ran for president in 2010 till 2011, she did not succeed and lost to Francois Hollande and Nicholas Sarkozy However this time, it’s highly likely she succeeds as being the new President.

Tussle between the two Rivals

Right now as the newspapers are judging, neither of them seem to belong to any respective parties. Macron is seen as a developer for a more open and free democratic France where is Le pen is rooting for a closed to immigration and a nationalized candidate according to the French Media.

As le pen’s father seemed to have fears that the immigration that has opened arms for many non-French people will lead to results similar to what happened with Hitler and Nazis. So following her father’s steps, she believes in a much nationalized France rather than an open one. Although she tried to be more flexible and democratic in her opinions, but voters who will vote for her are always going to symbolize their decision with her father as he was the one who introduced this idea

Le Pen’s Campaign

Le Pen has been following the same ideas almost as her father so has been shot down quite a few times by the opposing people who think her views are against them.

Security has been increased for her as many Muslims have stood up to her considering her views can make them leave their lives in France. It has not been easy for the immigrants to watch her stand and talk against their presence as she stands for a nationalized country.

Whereas Macron has been succeeding in holding campaigns already declaring who would he choose as his prime minister is already in his mind. The same comfort is not faced by Le Pen as she faces security issues from the Islamic extremists. She believes she is avoiding the social violence the country can face in the nearby future, therefore she stands by her views and declares that she thinks that she can still win and has a greater chance at it.
