Google celebrates Stephen Hawking 80th Birthday by its Google Doodle

On Stephen Hawking’s 80th birthday, Google doodle presented a YouTube video narrated in his computer-generated voice.

Google honors various major occasions and dates throughout the year with their iconic ‘doodles,’ which are shown on the website’s homepage. Saturday was also a significant day, as it unveiled a unique animated doodle celebrating the 80th birthday of famous English theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking.

The doodle also included a two-and-a-half-minute YouTube movie narrated in Hawking’s computer-generated voice, much to the joy of many internet users.

The doodle features an animated avatar of Hawking, with the letters stylized to fit the topic. When viewers click on the doodle, they are sent to a YouTube video.

Hawking’s voice is utilised in the video to recount his life, the neurological condition, and his quest to comprehend the cosmos. “My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why is it as it is? Why it exists at all?” In the video, Hawking’s voice may be heard stating.

According to Google’s description of the doodle, “Today’s video Doodle honours one of history’s most important scientific minds, English cosmologist, novelist, and theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.” From merging black holes to the Big Bang, his ideas on the origins and dynamics of the universe revolutionised contemporary physics, and his best-selling books made the subject accessible to millions of readers across the globe.”

“Here’s to an innovator whose astronomical effect changed how the world perceives the universe!” it further said.

Furthermore, Google thanked Hawking’s family for their assistance in creating the doodle and released a statement from the physicist’s daughter Lucy and sons Robert and Tim Hawking.

“The voice of Stephen Hawking was generated and utilised in the Doodle with the Hawking estate’s approval,” it said.
