Brie Larson almost rejects the role of Captain Marvel

The actress Brie Larson has commented her doubts when she was offered the role of Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel will be one of the great films of 2019, the actress Brie Larson will  become one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. It will probably have an effect similar to what happened to Gal Gadot after Wonder Woman. You have to remember that Brie Larson had just won an Oscar for Best Actress thanks to ‘Room’, so Marvel scored a great goal when she signed it. But she was not so sure of assuming the role at the beginning. She was interested, but hesitant, so she explains:

“I never saw myself doing something like that, especially because I like to be anonymous. I like to disappear in the characters, and I always felt that if I was in the public eye too much, it potentially limits you in the future. “

Luckily in the end she accepted and these are the reasons:

“Just seeing a character how she feels, says, what she thinks and does not allow people to get in her way is incredibly rewarding.”

Captain Marvel Brie Larson

Visually Brie Larson looks spectacular as Captain Marvel.

For now, Marvel’s signing of the actress seems quite successful. We have already seen it in several images and I’m sure it will leave viewers and fans of the comics happy.

The film is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. In the cast aside from Brie Larson include Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Gemma Chan, Lee Pace, Mckenna Grace, Clark Gregg, Djimon Hounsou, Kenneth Mitchell, Annette Bening, Lashana Lynch, Rune Temte, Damon O ‘ Daniel, Algenis Perez Soto, Colin Ford, Robert Kazinsky, Connor Ryan and DJ Jenkins.

There are still few details of the plot, but we know that it will be set in the 90s. In addition the post-credit scene will link with Avengers 4. Since Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) will be very important in the fight against Thanos.

Captain Marvel will premiere on March 5, 2019.
