Brazil records 312 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours

A total of 312 deaths from Covid-19 were recorded in Brazil in the last 24 hours. The data were released by the National Council of Health Secretaries this Thursday, 24. During the same period, 37,690 new cases of contagion by the disease were also reported. Currently, Brazil registers a total of 29,767,681 cases of the infection, in addition to accumulating 658,310 victims of the disease.

In the last seven days, the moving average of deaths is at 269, while the average of cases is at 34,292. Regarding the total number of deaths, São Paulo remains the Brazilian state with the highest number of records, with 166,955.

The fatality rate throughout the national territory is 2.2%. Among the states, the one with the highest recorded rate is Rio de Janeiro, with a rate of 3.6%. Ceará has 2.2% lethality.
