The world has consolidated in a lawsuit against Russia against the International Criminal Court (ICC) because of the crimes committed in Ukraine. In particular, 41 countries have already filed a lawsuit against the ISS.
This is stated in the message of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
After the crimes committed by the occupiers in Bucha, the UK stated that, together with other countries, it was collecting evidence for the ISS.
France and the EU are already providing financial and technical assistance to document the investigation of Russian crimes in Ukraine.
“As of March 11, 41 countries have filed a lawsuit with the ISS over crimes committed in Ukraine. This court will consider the individual criminal liability of Putin and other Russian officials,” the center said.
According to the calculations of lawyers, the investigation in court can last from one to three years.
“Based on the number of countries interested in sentencing the Russian Federation, it is likely that the ISS and the International Court of Justice will not drag out the process,” the ministry explained.
Ukraine also filed a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice, where the responsibility of the Russian Federation will be considered. Although Ukraine won the lawsuit on March 16, and the International Court of Justice ordered the Russian Federation to stop the war against us, Moscow denied the accusations and refused to comply with them.
