Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens the theory that could bring the X Men to the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness is already in theaters, one of the most anticipated Marvel movies this 2022. And as usual, the film hosts two post-credits scenes, where one of them connects with the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the film we have been able to see how Wanda ( Elizabeth Olsen ) has become the villain by wanting to seize the power of America Chavez ( Xochitl Gomez ), the one to travel through the multiverse, to reunite with her children that she created in Westview in the Disney+ series Scarlet Witch and Vision.
After a series of events, Wanda embraces her darker side to take her in the bloodiest of ways. She without a doubt at no time to kill in order to achieve her main desire and mission. Regardless, the film ends with her sacrificing herself to redeem herself for all she has done and end the Darkhold.
In the first post-credits scene, we see Doctor Strange ( Benedict Cumberbatch ) walking around New York until a blonde woman in a purple suit appears to him, warning him that she has just made a raid and that he will have to join her to solve it. To which Dr. Strange replies that of course, while the third eye that has appeared after reading the Darkhold opens.
This character is played by Charlize Theron and is about Clea, the wife, and companion of the adventures of Stephen Strange in the comics. She hails from another dimension, she is also a great sorceress of great renown and after Stephen’s recent death in the comics, she is now the Sorceress Supreme. Both must solve in a possible third installment of Doctor Strange 3 the incursion that has been created in Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness, a result of a contraction in the timeline of the Multiverse.
The second transport us back to Earth-838, the world of the Illuminati, meeting again with the seller of pizza balls played by Bruce Campbell. Finally, after what seemed like weeks of punching each other in the face, Campbell’s character regains control of his body and yells into the camera, “It’s over!”, thus also implying to the audience that the film is over and that he can leave the theater.
The reason why Bruce Campbell is in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is that he is a great friend of Sam Raimi and a nod to his previous films starring him and written by the director such as Deadlock and The army of darkness.
