Please stop doing such a horrible thing and watch this hearing interpreter sign along to WAP

Everybody have now heard WAP By Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion With its loud, sexy bassline, and porn-friendly lyrics, you’ve probably heard it. But have you ever seen it being interpreted in sign languages?

A video of an American Sign Language interpreter (ASL) is going viral after being shared to TikTok.Despite the viral clip being deleted by TikTok’s original poster, it still exists on Twitter. We have it for all of you right here.

The video shows how @kelly4access interprets WAP’s explicit lyrics into simple sign language interpretations at a Megan Thee Stallion concert.

You can watch the talent yourself.

It’s even more impressive that @kelly4access uses her newfound internet fame to promote the work Deaf ASL teachers/interpreters of colour. You are a true fkn queen.

Kelly posted to Instagram, “If this is your first time to my page, you’ll quickly realize that it’s a space meant amplify Deaf creators’ work and to provide social media content to the Deaf Community.”

“I’m a hearing interlocutor so I don’t teach.”

“Support Deaf creators. These pages can help you understand why Deaf people and hard-of-hearing people go to concerts. An interpreter should not be a surprise at a concert. A deaf interpreter should be on every tour with all artists.

@kelly4access shared her own interpretation of the video music in 2020. She gallivanted through the WAP House and gave the lyrics a new life with a sign-language interpretation.

Megan Thee Stallion was sure to see this video, and now @kelly4access seems to be working alongside her.

You should watch this video. It is truly amazing.

I have seen the viral video many times. It is amazing to see WAP being interpreted by professionals.

Follow and support ASL interpreters (if you are a fan), and keep stupid questions to yourself.
