The balance board improves your stability

Training coordination and spatial perception helps the body to be more predisposed to changes and thus reduces the risk of injury.

Although it seems paradoxical, the body maintains the balance thanks to the fact that it loses it and recovers it constantly in thousandths of a second. We are good representatives of the stability of instability.

The posture, built on the basis of the feet and the muscular chains, is constantly changing. The balance chart helps to become aware of the ability of the body to lose and restore balance , of the sophisticated system that maintains that dynamic stability and of the body’s availability to adapt to the environment.

The balance rests on the surrounding space, with which it forms a whole. And from the information it receives, it adapts the muscles and movement. The equilibrium table allows you to experience the fragility of that balance and the possibility of improving it . It may seem difficult to get into it without falling, but it is, in fact, an easy-to-use device that allows you to work on balance, orientation and coordination.

Train the body’s predisposition to adapt to the environment
The three Nobel Prize winners of Medicine in 2014 pointed out that we have an internal “GPS”, cells that allow the brain to create a map of the space that surrounds us to situate ourselves and guide us.

Sensors that are throughout the body inform us of how we are placed: the “proprioceptors”. When an ankle is twisted, it automatically straightens up thanks to them, which prevents further damage. But if there is injury or pain they do not work as well.

How to use the balance table
The continued use of the balance table allows training these unconscious receptors and improving coordination. There are many ways to train in it , from the simplest, if injured, to the most complicated:

Sit with the board under your feet and turn it slowly several times in each direction.
Stand on the table, swing it back and forth, and then to the sides.
Turn the board in a circle with the edge always in contact with the ground.
Stay balanced on the board without the edges touching the ground.
Stand with one leg on the board, swing it back and forth, and then to the sides. Turn the table in circles.
Maintain balance on the board with one leg .

From here, you can add resistance or other challenges, such as performing exercises with small movements with peripheral vision to see around us.

Every day you can, in a fun way, maintain and improve your balance in every way.
