Selena Gomez Golden Globes 2023: Shuts Down The Trolling About Her Weight. Comments ‘I Enjoyed Myself’

We won’t humiliate her. Following the 2023 Golden Globes, trolls who were attacking Selena Gomez’s body appeared to respond.

The Only Murders in the Building actor, 30, remarked on January 10 during an Instagram Live,

“I’m a little bit large right now since I enjoyed myself during the holidays.”

“Come on, okay, I mean?” Gomez enquired of her date’s 9-year-old sister, Gracie. Yes, Gracie replied.

The Miley Cyrus song “Do My Thang” began playing in the car, and the Rare Beauty star appeared to say, “But we don’t care.”

The former Disney Channel actress was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series, and the sisters enjoyed a spectacular evening at the Golden Globes. The only show up for Best Musical or Comedy TV was Murders in the Building. Martin Short and Steve Martin, who were her co-stars, also won solo nominations.

In every category, they were defeated by Abbott Elementary and the cast of the ABC sitcom.

Gomez wearing a winter 2022 couture collection dark purple velvet dress from Valentino. The gown had silky, large purple sleeves that were strapless. She completed the outfit with De Beers jewellery, including earrings and rings. Her sibling, however, wore a sparkling, champagne-colored dress with matching handbag and heels.

The Texas native has been open about how tough it is to hear criticism of her appearance, despite the fact that she didn’t let the body-shamers stop her from having a good time. The founder of Rare Beauty revealed that her weight frequently changes as a result of her lupus therapy during an interview with her friend Raquelle Stevens on the Giving Back Generation podcast in September 2019.

“I have to take this prescription for the rest of my life; in all honesty, it depends on the month. So when people started criticising me for it, I really noticed, she noted at the time. And that’s just my truth in practise. I vacillate. Depends on what’s going on in my life.”

She left Instagram in part due to unfavourable remarks. “I felt as though everything I thought about and consumed revolved around a billion other individuals in the globe voicing both positive and negative things.

I simply asked myself, “Why would I do that? I gain nothing from it.” Nothing is bringing life to me. In 2021, she admitted to snapping and being angry to Women’s Wear Daily.

She continued,

“I’m truly entirely ignorant of what’s going on in pop culture, and that makes me incredibly happy. And even while that might not make everyone else happy, for me, it has literally saved my life.”

The Spring Breakers star didn’t have to look at the app because she shared posts through an aide. But Gomez admitted that she had made the decision to use social media again before the Golden Globes.

She captioned a post from Tuesday that included a couple mirror selfies, “Wait, can you tell I’m back on Instagram?”

A writer by day and reader by night, I am someone who - as soon as she graduated from high school - knew she wanted to write. How? When? where? It did not matter as long as I got to write! And every second of it has been full of learning, adventure, and excitement. I love reading, especially high fantasy, fiction, and thrillers! And when I am not reading or reviewing books on my blog, I try my hand at graphic designing for blog posts, headers, logos. Add a little bit of video editing into the mix and I'm peachy!
