The popular television show revolves around Jocelyn, a charming young aspiring artist who is struggling to make ends meet. She suffers from mental breakdowns on occasion, which is one of the reasons why some of her tours are canceled.

She is desperate to prove to America that she is one of the greatest pop performers on the scene, refusing to let her panic attacks define her.

She does, however, find herself in a problematic situation with one of the well-known self-help group leaders who also happens to be the leader of a cult.

She will have to juggle her romantic life while regaining her status as the top pop performer and believing that she will not lose everything she has fought so hard for.

Season 1 Cast of American Idol

Jocelyn, played by Lily-Rose Depp, is one of the series’ key characters and Tedros’ love interest. She is obsessed with the party and the thrilling life of a budding music idol. The actress appeared in the TV shows Tusk, The Dancer, The King, and The Faithful Man.

Tedros is played by Abel Tesfaye, better known by his stage name The Weeknd, and the Younger Jocelyn is played by Finley Rose. Jocelyn is also adored by the leaders of the self-help group.

Angel is played by Jennie Kim, Chloe by Suzanna Son, Izaak by Moses Sumney, and Jane Adams plays Jocelyn’s director. Other actors include Dan Levy, Troye Sivan, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Mike Dean, and Hank Azaria.

There has been no official announcement of the new series’ release date, however there are reports that it will take place in June 2023. Six episodes of the new show will focus on Jocelyn‘s complicated but interesting life.

Although the series was announced in June 2021, production did not begin until November 2021. On October 6, HBO released a teaser for the series, stating that it will air in 2023. We expect it to arrive before June.
