Return ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Game of Thrones’

Expectation. Yesterday there were advances of the award-winning Netflix and HBO series. The story with Robin Wright will have new characters.

After Kevin Spacey. In the advancement of the sixth and final season of ‘House of Cards’ revealed the new characters of the story, who will accompany Robin Wright (‘Claire Underwood’) as president of the United States. The main ones are played by Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear, like ‘Annette Shepherd’ and ‘Bill Shepherd’, the brothers inheritors of ‘Shepherd Unlimited’, a company inspired by the Koch Brothers, the influential and millionaire American family.

Netflix describes the powerful company as: “A leading industrial conglomerate, whose family foundations exert a powerful force behind the scenes in the American political landscape.” But, in addition, the Shepherd brothers keep a complicated past with the Underwood.

The other character in the political scene will be played by Cody Fern (from ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ and ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’). The actor will be the ambitious son of Annette Shepherd, part of “the new generation of power players of Washington DC.”

The last eight episodes of ‘House of Cards’ will be seen from November 2, with Robin Wright as the center of the story. This will be the only season without Kevin Spacey, who played ‘Frank Underwood’ for five seasons. In November, the actor was fired after a series of allegations of sexual harassment, including the denunciation of Anthony Rapp, who was allegedly harassed by Spacey when he was 14 years old.
HBO and ‘game of thrones’

In parallel, another television phenomenon (and that still holds record audience), as ‘Game of Thrones’ (‘Game Of Thrones’), showed an advance, in two seconds, of what will be its season eight, and confirmed if it will be released in the first half of 2019.

In the preview we can only see Emilia Clarke as ‘Daenerys’, asking: “Shall we start?” Then they show images of season seven and a reunion hug between the characters ‘Jon’ and ‘Sansa’. The advance was made within a video in which HBO promotes the premieres of ‘Camping’ (on October 14) of ‘The Deuce’ (September 9). Also another ‘main course’ of the channel, which is ‘Big Little Lies’, produced and starring Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. Of course, this time the ‘foreground’ was for Meryl Streep, who enters the series. ❧
