Quentin Tarantino confessed to being a fan of ‘Peppa Pig’: ‘It’s the biggest British import of this decade’

His outstanding career on the big screen led Quentin Tarantino to be considered one of the most important film directors of recent times and a word more than authorized to give his opinion on entertainment content.

Since he was young, the also American screenwriter, editor and actor consumes a large number of movies per week, he has even become a fan of exotic items such as kung-fu tapes. However, he also likes children’s animated series like ‘Peppa Pig’, which he surprisingly considers “the best British production of the last decade”.

During a recent interview with Empire, the creator of ‘Kill Bill’ talked about the activities he does with his little two-year-old son, Leo, when he confessed the pleasure that has surprised his followers.

“(My son is) very young, so he’s only seen one movie,” the film director told Empire. “One day I caught him looking at a cartoon, I thought it was ‘Minions,’ and then I realized it was ‘Despicable Me 2.’ He seemed to be interested in the opening credits, so I said, ‘Okay, I guess we’re watching Despicable Me 2’. My son got up and walked behind the sofa, but the whole time he continued to watch TV.

We watched it for 20 minutes, until it was time for him to go to the park, and then the next day , we saw another 15 minutes.

And so, over the course of a week, in small bites, the first movie Leo saw was ‘Despicable Me 2′”, explained Tarantino, who had to adapt to the tastes of his little son .

However, Tarantino is already developing a love for a wide range of on-screen series, including a certain famous little pig:

“Gru [from ‘Despicable Me’] is a more exhausting experience than, say, ‘Peppa Pig’. In fact, I watch it a lot and I’ll say it: ‘Peppa Pig’ is the best British production of this decade.”
